New appointment Emma Watkins as Associate Director in Environmental Policy & Economics

Emma Watkins joins Logika Group as an Associate Director in its Environmental Policy & Economics Practice.

Emma is an expert in circular economy with over 20 years of experience in contributing to policy development and evaluation. She has delivered successful projects for the EU and international institutions, national governments, businesses, NGOs and foundations. 

She has a strong background in supporting the implementation of EU environmental policy, particularly in the areas of circular economy, resource use and waste, and has also worked on topics ranging from environmental taxation, economic instruments and extended producer responsibility (EPR) to climate change, air pollution and transport.

Emma has worked on projects to develop new indicators for climate neutral circularity and guidance for the EU Single Use Plastics Directive, major studies on environmental taxation and the polluter pays principle, guidelines and standards for design-for-recycling of plastic products, EU policies related to Critical Raw Materials and circularity, EPR for plastic packaging, global policies to manage plastic pollution, and the social acceptability of low and zero emission zones for transport.

On her appointment, Emma Watkins said
